Andrew Moor

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Andrew Moor joined the Company as President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director in March 2007. Under Andrew’s leadership, Equitable has grown from its position as a Trust Company with $3 billion of total assets to become Canada’s 7th largest bank with over $100 billion of assets under administration. Since 2007, he has worked with Equitable’s senior management team to lead the organization through the financial crisis of 2008, build a significant national business in single family lending, establish Equitable as a major participant in the Canada Mortgage Bond program establish EQ Bank as Canada’s leading digital bank, launch a reverse mortgage business, enter the equipment lending business through the acquisition of Bennington Financial, acquire Concentra Bank and make a majority investment in ACM Advisors.

Andrew’s focus in recent years has been in positioning Equitable Bank as “Canada’s Challenger Bank”.  Andrew is a keen observer of the challenger and neo bank community around the world. He is interested in how banks can leverage technology to improve the societies in which they operate and is a proponent of Open Banking as a means of delivering financial services more effectively to people from all walks of life.

Andrew joined Wood Gundy Inc. in 1987 and was a Managing Director in the private equity division of CIBC before joining SMED International in 1996 as CFO. He was later promoted to President. After SMED was acquired in 2000 for approximately $300 million, he was backed by private equity investors to become President and CEO of Invis Inc. He built Invis to become Canada’s largest residential mortgage brokerage and the business was acquired by HSBC in 2005.

Andrew is a member of the Executive Council of the Canadian Bankers Association, the Business Council of Canada, Chairman of the Banks and Trust Companies Association, and a former Chairman of Mortgage Professionals Canada. He also serves as a director of Sleep Country Canada, Director of Nesto Inc, and as an Advisory Board member of the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

Andrew graduated from University College London with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and holds the ICD.D designation.

Chadwick Westlake

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Chadwick Westlake serves as the Bank's Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, leading all core finance functions, as well as the Bank's Treasury and securitization activities, Corporate Development, Legal, and Productivity and Delivery. He joined Equitable in 2020 following more than 18 years at Scotiabank in progressively senior roles, including Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Banking, and most recently Executive Vice-President of Enterprise Productivity and Canadian Banking Finance where he set the strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide productivity improvement. Leading with a true challenger mindset, Chadwick's experience driving revenue growth, reducing costs, and leading innovative and sustainable change are invaluable assets to this organization as it sets its sights on continued growth.

Chadwick graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Management and is a CFA charterholder.

Marlene Lenarduzzi

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF RISK OFFICER

Marlene Lenarduzzi serves as the Bank’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining Equitable, Marlene was the Head of Counterparty Credit Risk Management at the Bank of Montreal where she provided leadership in operations, strategy development, planning and execution. Previously, Marlene served as Interim CRO for BMO Ireland, lending critical strategic advice and oversight as operations grew because of Brexit. She also served as the Head, Model Validation, where she was instrumental in transforming the Model Risk Management frameworks to better enable teams to make sound credit decisions.

Marlene graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, earned a Master of Applied Science from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

Dan Broten

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Dan Broten serves as the Bank’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the development, DevOps, infrastructure and cloud platforms, operations, and cybersecurity for the Bank. With a passion for designing, building, and launching innovative and disruptive products, Dan has built his career on using customer centric design and modern digital technologies to bring about real change.

Dan brings a combined experience to this role; one that blends large scale, enterprise technology transformations with start-up agility and product development. His senior leadership experiences include all aspects of planning, delivering, and continuously managing and improving technology organizations, methodologies, and solutions.

Prior to his current role, Dan was Vice-President of Technology at Equitable where he was accountable for building and operating the Bank's digital and cloud technologies. Before joining Equitable, Dan worked with Deloitte Digital, Bank of Montreal, and was the Technology co-founder of Hurrier (acquired by Foodora).

Dan graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering.

Darren Lorimer

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND GROUP HEAD, COMMERCIAL BANKING

Darren serves as Equitable Bank’s Senior Vice-President and Group Head, Commercial Banking. He leads a team of more than five hundred outstanding commercial bankers across seven business lines that provide services to clients, brokers, partners and credit unions.

In 2015, Darren joined Equitable Bank as the Vice-President of Commercial Lending. He became part of the Equitable team following a 21-year tenure at TD Bank. During his time at TD, Darren held various roles, most recently as Vice-President Financial Restructuring Group.

Darren has a wealth of industry experience, having worked in commercial and corporate lending, business development, national accounts, operational risk and compliance and credit risk management.

A graduate of Wilfred Laurier University’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Darren attended the Ivey Executive Program at Western University. He is a CFA charterholder.

Gavin Stanley

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Gavin Stanley serves as the Bank’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. He leads all people and talent activities for Equitable, as well as the Office and Administration teams. Gavin joined Equitable in November 2021, with accountability for the Human Resources Business Partner team, People Strategy development and workplace strategy and evolution. Gavin began his career at the Boston Consulting Group with work in London, Toronto and Berlin. He focused on people, talent, organization, and change management, working with financial institutions in Toronto, London and South Africa. He has spent seven years in senior HR leadership roles at technology companies, most recently at Shopify, where he was Head of Talent for EMEA and APAC and oversaw the Global Employee Relations team.

Gavin graduated from University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and earned a doctorate in History from the University of Cambridge.

Mahima Poddar

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND GROUP HEAD, PERSONAL BANKING

Mahima Poddar serves as the Senior Vice-President and Group Head, Personal Banking, where she leads EQ Bank (Canada's leading digital bank), the Single-Family mortgage businesses, the decumulation lines of business in Reverse Mortgages and CSV Lending, Marketing, and the distribution of deposit products through the Financial Planning channel. Mahima joined Equitable Bank in 2016 to lead the Corporate Development team. She grew her mandate to include digital banking and marketing in 2019, and eventually to lead the Personal Banking division in 2020. Under her leadership, Equitable has acquired both Bennington Financial and the Maple Bank portfolio and introduced the decumulation lines of business; while EQ Bank surpassed $8 billion in total deposits, and successfully introduced a suite of new products and features.

Mahima graduated from Western University with an Honours Business Administration degree and earned her Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
